Why Use a Virtual Assistant?

SEE OUR COST COMPARISON CHART

There are many reasons why you should utilize the services of a virtual assistant versus hiring a full-time employee. Using a virtual assistant has more benefits than using an actual on-site employee. Here are some of the ways where your organization can benefit from the services of a VA:
  • No spending on health or other benefits for a VA.
I don't need your health benefits. I have my own already.
  • No paying for training.
I foot my own training bills for any service I offer and need more training in.
  • No paying sick, personal, and vacation days.
I can't contaminate my computer. So unless I'm unconscious, I pretty much work every day.
  • No paying for electricity, space, hardware, software, etc. for another employee.
The electricity, space, hardware, software, et al is on my bill.
  • No paying for worker's compensation or fooling with payroll deductions/payments such as FICA, Medicare, etc.
I'm an independent contractor, so it's as easy as sending me a 1099 at the end of the year.
  • No giving raises.
Unless you just want to give me one, which you may very well want to when I'm done!
  • No tardiness.
My commute is a hallway that even with a full cup of coffee takes me approximately 30 seconds to navigate at medium speed.
  • No paying for 40 hours of work per week and only receiving 20-30 hours of work.
I log "in and out" of each project using an Excel spreadsheet every time I do any work for you. If I switch to another project or have to leave my office for any reason, I clock out. I even clock out for lunch! Then, I submit this file to you along with my invoice when the job or the week is completed, depending on the agreement. I don't stand around on your time at the water cooler or someone else's desk talking about my kids, my night, or my weekend.
  • No mistaking that the job will be done right.
You see, unlike employees that you may hire, I have more than just a job at stake. I have the entire reputation of my business at stake. I'm not going to turn in shoddy work, because I want to remain successful.
  • No stories.
I'm going to tell you straight up whether I am capable of doing your project or not or whether I have time to do your project or not. I'm not going to tell you what you want to hear, because I'm not vying for raises, promotions, etc. at your company. I want your respect, and honesty is the best way to earn it. If I can't do a particular project, I want you to come back when you have another that might be in my realm of capability.
